Psalms 46: 8-10 Attention all! See the marvels of GOD! He plants flowers and trees all over the earth, Bans war from pole to pole, breaks all the weapons across his knee. Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.
What version of the Bible do you use on a regular basis? Currently my study time had been through using "THE MESSAGE" version. This morning in studying Psalms, there were a couple of verses that jumped out at me.
In today's age, we believe we can control about anything and in many cases we try. In our economics today we try to believe we can control the debt crisis by more spending or more saving or any number of other methods to bring control back into the world. Yet we still get further and further behind.
How do we handle all that? Do you worry more? Work more? Stress out? How do you get back in control? Well today's verse really sums it all up.
Look around and see all the marvels that God performs each hour of every day. Literally when you understand that He is totally in control and above the politics we encounter today, it is refreshing.
Now you just need to realize that this quote today is as true now as it was thousands of years ago. When you feel stress or concern, just remember who is in control.
Having physical things will past away so our verses today should give you a refreshing that we honor the one who has ALL control.
